Notes on our commemoration:

We would like the evening to remain free of national flags and other national symbols to allow other messages to take centre stage.

Any flags of political parties have no place at our event.

We are gathering on the occasion of a shockingly brutal event that is still far from being processed. We want to hold on to collective hope with this evening. We want to facilitate a peaceful, calm event and want to be as open and de-escalating as possible. We will not tolerate intentional disruptions.

In these times it is important to look out for each other. Please do not come and leave the commemoration alone, but in larger groups. Ask individuals if they would like to join the walk to the underground or other locations. Be careful when carrying political or solidarity symbols in public spaces. Prioritise your own safety and the safety of others.

Pack enough warm clothing, an umbrella if necessary, sandwiches and drinks.

It is infection season. Show solidarity: if possible, test yourself beforehand and wear masks.

Our commemoration starts at 6 pm. Arrive on time if you can. Thank you very much!

Accessibility and barriers:

The M29 and 140 buses are equipped with fold-out ramps and are barrier-free. Access to the square in front of Bethanien is not barrier-free, but barrier-free access is possible via the road from Waldemarstraße to Bethanien. There is a barrier-free public toilet on the square.

We have tried to organize sign language. Unfortunately, this could not be realised for this event. We hope that it will work for the next 8 March demonstration.

The speeches will be held primarily in German.
